Buyers and suppliers
Know the buyer before you write a line
Each Qatar government buyer has a profile: awards by year, the sectors it buys in and the suppliers it awards to most. Each supplier has one too: its wins, the buyers it serves and who bids beside it. Watch either and a dated feed tells you what changed. Track buyers and competitors.
How Qatar buys
Sealed bids, and a public record after them
Qatar's government buys through ministries, public authorities, hospitals and state-owned companies, from facilities and construction to health, technology and services. A tender is announced with its closing date and bid bond, bidders submit a technical and a financial envelope, and the financial envelopes of the compliant bidders are opened together. That opening produces the bid table: every price, side by side.
Most tenders go to the lowest compliant price, while Qatar applies in-country value scoring in parts of its market, so local spend can count beside price. Bidders usually need a local commercial registration, and foreign firms tend to enter through a Qatari entity or partner. Titles often appear in Arabic, sometimes in both languages. The tender lifecycle lesson follows one tender from notice to signature.

Radar and benchmarks
See the recompete coming and price against the field
The radar lists contracts ending inside your horizon, six to 24 months out, with the incumbent named on each. Benchmarks show how many bidders a tender like yours draws, where award values fall and how far the winner sits from the median, so you price the bid on the record rather than a guess. The recompete radar and bid benchmarks.

Is Qatar tender data in Arabic and English?
Yes. Titles and entity names are carried in both languages, and search matches either, so one team can work in Arabic and English side by side.
Do you show losing bids, or only the winners?
A tender profile shows the published bidder table, sorted by price, with the winner marked and each bid's distance from it. Those tables are what make supplier profiles and benchmarks possible.
Does in-country value matter in Qatar tenders?
In parts of the market, yes: Qatar applies in-country value scoring there, so local spend can count beside price. The tender documents state how a bid is scored. Ishara shows how each buyer has awarded before.
